$50000 - $75000 / year (total compensation)
Position Summary
A Payroll Administrator ensures accurate and timely employee compensation by processing payroll, managing deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations. You will be working closely with the project management teams to prepare and process weekly payroll for employees, including calculating wages, overtime, commissions, and deductions. You will also be reviewing timesheets, tracking attendance, and reconciling discrepancies while generating payroll reports for management and assisting with internal/external audits.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
• Track daily attendance and review payroll time sheets
• Entering, reviewing and approving staff hours
• Reconciling and correcting discrepancies
• Generating and submitting general payroll reports
• Additional administrative tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative experience
• General understanding of labor laws, union contracts, tax regulations, and basic accounting principles.
• Knowledgeable in payroll and construction industry standards and regulations
• Familiar with project management tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), AL Mobile and ADP
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Highly organized with strong time management capabilities and problem-solving abilities.
