Pay Range: $47,000 - $52,000/yr 

 

Position Summary
The HR Assistant is responsible for all administrative and clerical support for the HR Department. This role will assist in all areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to onboarding, HRIS, recruitment, employee relations and compliance.

 

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
•    Performs general administrative duties to support HR functions
•    Performs pre-employment reference checks, background checks and sets up drug tests as needed
•    Assists in creation of offer letters and new hire packets for salaried employees
•    Verifies I-9s using E-Verify system
•    Enters salaried new hires into HRIS and performs audits
•    Coordinates with HR and legal to support immigration needs
•    Assists in scheduling recruiting activities and events; supports internship program
•    Prepares and edits HR correspondences, communications, presentations, and other documents
•    Orders supplies and materials for the HR Department
•    Arranges and coordinates conference calls, meetings, and events
•    Handles internal and external requests for information, such as job verifications
•    Interacts with external clients and vendors
•    Organizes and maintains corporate employee files and other employment records
•    Manages invoices for HR vendors and ensures timely payments

 

Required Skills and Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
•    HRIS and ATS experience a plus
•    Familiarity with HR terminology
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•    Must be able to work independently
•    Effective communication skills, oral and written
•    Strong organizational skills
•    Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as gather and analyze information skillfully
•    Effectively communicate with people in potentially stressful situations
•    Must maintain confidentiality and work effectively with others including management, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company
•    Must be able to prioritize, plan work activities and work consistently and dependably
•    Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and manage frequent change, delays or unexpected events

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
•    Works in an office environment
•    Frequently sits for long periods of time
•    Frequently speaks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard
•    May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending
