Compensation
$30 - $35/hour
Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic helps to ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment as well as maintain plant facilities as needed. Will also assemble, repair, and fabricate parts by operating various machinist equipment.
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and NARSTCO standards and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Uphold integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions.
- Perform maintenance, repair, service, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and buildings.
- Conduct preventive maintenance per technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Operate forklifts safely and manage parts and supply inventory to prevent downtime.
- Document and communicate work, irregularities, and ongoing maintenance needs.
- Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networks.
- Support team goals and provide additional assistance as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Associates or Vocational degree preferred.
- High School diploma or GED
- CIMM (Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic) preferred.
- Welding (certification) preferred.
- 3-5 years of work experience in Industrial Machinery Maintenance and Repair
- Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical and Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair experience required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Exposure to loud noises, machines, fumes, heat/cold, sparks, metal dust and industrial moving parts in the plant facility
- Frequently stands, walks, climbs, balances, lifts, bends, and moves objects up to 50 pounds
- Exposed to all weather conditions including very hot and very cold weather
