Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000/yr

 

Position Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • As determined by the Construction Manager during the course of project:
  • Full responsibility to manage the construction of the Electrical scope through construction, testing and commissioning of the project
  • Manage field operations oversight for all electrical subcontractors as it pertains to the work being performed by LKCNT
  • Ensure that all electrical work is scheduled and executed timely to meet the Projects needs
  • Manage the development of installation plans and provide comments as to adherence to project requirements
  • Manage the development of CWPs and JHAs for all communications field work.
  • Manage all union craft labor in building all electrical field work based on the respective Project Labor Agreements and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
  • Coordinate all electrical installation and testing requirements and compliance to the needs of the Contract QC plans in concert with the Project QC manager.
  • Oversee electrical subcontractor and provide dynamic input as required to the project schedule and weekly look ahead schedules
  • Oversee and plan the handling and storage of all electrical equipment and material required for the communications installation.
  • Provide weekly and daily reporting for all electrical work being performed in the field.
  • Provide input and approval of craft labor time at intervals established by the project.
  • Track all electrical installation self-perform productions including quantity reporting and analyzing production trends for projecting costs.
  • Manage the testing and commissioning of the communication systems and provide support to the agency’s integrated systems testing as required
  • Ensure that an effective business relationship is established and maintained with the Owner and/or Prime Contractor and all Subcontractors and Suppliers
  • Maintain effective Discipline and good staff morale

 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role on major rail Projects. Electrical bias preferred – Transit experience would be a benefit
  • Must have a good knowledge of current code and standards requirements for electrical work
  • Thorough knowledge of all communications systems typically used on transit systems
  • Experience with base Microsoft Office Programs
  • Experience with CADD is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Strong organization and interpersonal skills

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Willing to travel
  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines 
  • Works in an office environment
  • Frequently sits for long periods of time
  • Frequently speaks, reads, writes and uses a computer keyboard 
  • May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending
