Compensation

$70000 - $86000 / year 

Position Summary

Performs accounting and administrative/clerical tasks related to the efficient processing and maintenance of accounts payable transactions. Acts as team lead.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties

•    Verifies and codes invoices, check requests, and expense reports
•    Prepares, processes, and enters invoices, checks, and payments
•    Processes wire transfers and ACH payments
•    Reconciles vendor statements and handles manual check requests as needed
•    Coordinates mailing of vendor payments and submits new vendor setups
•    Monitors and responds to vendor inquiries
•    Maintains accurate files and documentation
•    Assists with other accounting functions and provides administrative support

Required Skills and Qualifications

•    High school diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred
•    3+ years accounts payable experience
•    Knowledge of accounting principles, A/P and G/L systems
•    Proficient in Excel, Word, and A/P software
•    Strong math, organization, and problem-solving skills
•    Detail-oriented; meets deadlines in high-volume setting
•    Excellent communication and professional demeanor

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Works in an office environment.   

• Frequently sits for long periods of time.   

• Frequently speaks, reads, writes and uses a computer keyboard.    

• May require occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending.
